Project Description:

In this project, you will design a set of 5 original tarot cards along with the back of the card using digital drawing techniques. Each card should represent a unique character, symbol, or theme, drawing inspiration from traditional tarot card meanings or entirely new concepts that you develop. Your designs should be cohesive, reflecting a unified artistic style across all six pieces.

Project Goals:

Creative Expression: Explore and develop your own unique artistic voice by interpreting and visualizing themes, symbols, and narratives associated with tarot cards.
Digital Techniques: Enhance your proficiency in digital drawing software by experimenting with different tools and techniques to create detailed, high-quality artwork.
Design Cohesion: Focus on creating a visually cohesive set, considering elements like color schemes, line work, and composition to ensure all cards belong to the same collection.
Symbolism & Storytelling: Incorporate meaningful symbolism and storytelling elements that align with the chosen tarot card meanings or themes, giving depth to your designs.

Tarot Cards Meaning List

Requirements:

Tarot Cards (Front):

Create 5 unique tarot card designs, each representing a different concept or theme. I suggest using cards from the Major Arcana
Each card should include a title or label (e.g., "The Fool," "Strength").
Pay attention to details such as character design, symbolism, and the overall aesthetic.
The cards should be formatted to a standard tarot card size (2.75" x 4.75").

Card Back:

Design the back of the tarot card, ensuring it is visually appealing and complements the front designs.
The back design should be symmetrical or balanced to allow for shuffling without revealing the card's orientation.

What symbol do you resonate with? What is a symbol that you would relate yourself with?
What are some of your virtues and strengths?
What card do you like and why?
Is there an attribute of human nature that you think is missing from the Major Arcana? What is it?
