18 years of age by December 2025
Enrolled in a Sarnia-Lambton secondary school
Diagnosed with an intellectual disability or other disability
Must be planning to work a part-time or full-time job in the community at a competitive rate
Has (some) independent living skills
Is willing to participate in transit training
Takes direction from supervisors and is able to change behavior as needed
Has a supportive home team

Interviews and Skills Assessment Day (mandatory) date and time to be announced.
Interviews and skills assessment sessions with the Project SEARCH team will take place at YMCA Jerry McCaw Family Centre, Sarnia. Activities will assess specific skills to determine the students’ suitability for the program.
Notification of acceptance into the program
Arya enjoys socializing with his peers and listening to music. He is a hard worker and is quickly learning the jobs that he is assigned at the Y.
Daniel loves the Pistons. He also plays floor hockey, basketball and bowling through Special Olympics. Daniel has previously worked at Lambton Meadowview Villa and looks forward to future job opportunities.
Riley has a wonderful imagination. He is interested in computer graphics and superheroes. He is hardworking and likes to learn new things. Riley hopes to be a voice actor in the future.
Gregory loves to sing and dance. He is very active and sociable. Gregory does best with hands on activities, is looking for work in the service industry and hopes to apply to the CICE program in the future.
Noah is very creative and enjoys drawing, painting and sculpting. Costume design and space exploration are also areas of interest for him. Noah would love a career in the arts, photography, or in hospitality.
