My name is Daniel Cicchelli, and I’m so excited and privileged to be your child’s teacher
for the 2022-2023 academic year. This school year will be my fourth year working with the
SCCDSB, but my first full year at Holy Trinity in Sarnia. However, I was lucky enough to join
the HT school community as an occasional (supply) teacher throughout the 2019-2020
school year. The following year, I was placed as a Program Resource Teacher at St. Matthew’s CS in Sarnia. Last year, I was a Grade 7/8 teacher at St. Joseph in Corunna. I also have been a Cooperative Education teacher at St. Patrick’s High School the past two summers.
As a Grade 7/8 teacher, my classrooms have been involved in a number of leadership and/or pathways focused projects in our board community and beyond;
Wellness Messages created by students and presented on all Blackburn Radio Platforms (2021-2022)
St Clair Catholic District School Board Virtual Career Fair (2022)
Connecting with Lambton College for a "Skilled Trades Workshop" at the college (2022)
Enactus Program through Lambton College (TO BE DETERMINED)
Wellness Messages created by students and presented on all Blackburn Radio Platforms (TO BE DETERMINED IN 2023)
As your child’s homeroom teacher for the next ten months, I thought It would be appropriate to briefly share how I hope to have a positive impact on your child during these impactful years of their education. In line with our board’s core mission statement “Learning together today, transforming tomorrow”, my role in teaching your child is to ensure that your child is prepared for the world that they will eventually enter as contributing members to society. As an educator, I take the responsibility of ensuring they’re developing their understanding of the world around them, fostering and developing confidence in their ability to have a positive impact on others, and developing not just academically, but spiritually, socially and emotionally as well. Students will be provided with real life and hands-on experiences that can supplement the information presented in class, and I will dedicate myself to ensuring that each student has the same equitable opportunity to succeed in the classroom. My passion for the development of prospective future citizens is at the forefront of my philosophy of education, which motivates me to have a positive impact on those who will make up our society for generations to come.
