Objectives:
List and describe the function of the hardware components used in a PLC system.
Describe the basic circuitry and applications for discrete and analog I/O modules and interpret typical I/O and CPU specifications.
Differentiate between tag-based and rack/sot-based addressing
Describe the general classes and types of PLC memory devices
List and describe the different types of PLC peripheral support devices available.

Overview: Students will create a real garage door simulator with the supplies provided in class. The simulator will need to be connected to a PLC for programming. All building, wiring, and programming will be completed within your group of students.
Students will need to submit a working garage door model as well as a wiring and programming diagram.
