Mr. Linsmeyer 

Hello everyone!  My name is David Linsmeyer, and I am one of two school counselors at the elementary school.  This is my eighth year as a school counselor, and eighth year at SCC.   

I grew up in Mauston, WI, attended UW-Stout where I studied Human Development and Family Studies, and also ran cross country and track for Stout.  I loved Stout so much that I stayed there for graduate school to earn a Master's Degree in School Counseling. 

As a kid I was inspired by the help and influence  of my teachers, coaches, and counselors, who I will always consider to be life-changing.  Today, the tables have turned as I am constantly inspired by SCC's students.  Their humor, wisdom, and love for learning is incredible.

My mission is simple: develop students to be resilient people.  However, this endeavor is impossible without a transparent and supportive relationship to parents and families.  Therefore, I take pride in a few responsibilities: recognizing, prioritizing, and communicating student-needs to parents and families.
