Agriculture

"Agriculture ... is our wisest pursuit, because it will in the end contribute most to real wealth, good morals & happiness."

-Thomas Jefferson, August 14, 1787

Hello! My name is Gretchen Rozeboom. I have been teaching Agriculture at SCC High School since 2014 and also serve as one of the school's two FFA Advisors. I hold a Bachelor's of Science degree in Agriculture from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Masters of Science in Educational Leadership from the University of Tennessee.

I have been in agriculture my entire life, growing up on a diversified livestock and crop operation in Southwest Missouri. Some of my favorite activities were exhibiting livestock through 4-H and FFA. I still enjoy these activities with my family, and also try to put in a small family garden each summer-which is another activity I enjoy . I volunteer in various youth activities through out Wisconsin and Minnesota.

I currently teach Introduction to Biotechnology, Food Science, Vet Science I and II, Freshwater Aquatics, Wildlife Management, and Horticulture. I assist with our Intellectual Disabilities Students in the area of science and work with several students each year on Independent Study projects within a chosen agriculture interest. Within FFA, I love working with our members on developing their own personal style of leadership, and of course, competing for top awards!
