Introduction to Biotechnology explores the beginnings of the ever changing field and gives students the opportunity to experience basic labs in such things as DNA structure and extraction, micro-tissue propagation, animal genomics, and much more. Students who successfully complete the course may earn a half science credit or apply the course toward elective requirements.

These questions and more are answered in this fun, hands on class! Successful completion can earn students a half science credit or be applied toward their elective requirements.

Students may request permission to work with Mrs. Rozeboom on furthering their interest in an agricultural area/industry. Students perform reviews of past research, develop a topic, conduct research and present in a final paper. Past students have worked in such disciplines as plant science, equine science, and companion animal ethics. Contact Mrs. Rozeboom for more information. Eligible for a half or full credit option.
