Meet The Instructional Team

Welcome 6th grade parents! We are Jennifer Cronk and Michael Pincus the SMS Instructional Technology Team. We hope this resource site will be helpful as your child gets acclimated to life at SMS.

All students are issued iPads in 6th grade that they will use through out their time at SMS. We ask for your partnership with our policies surrounding iPad use:

iPads are for School Use Only, please ensure that the iPads are not used for entertainment or recreation. (ie: videos and games)
iPads should only have the student's Scarsdale email account logged into it. iPads are not to be shared with siblings or family members.
Cameras, Microphones and Photo rolls are also for school work only. Students should never record or take a picture of anyone without their permission.

Technical Support Team

How Do Students Get Technology Support?

Our amazing technicians are available to support students 7:30AM- 3:30PM. There is always someone in the Tech Support room throughout the day so it is fine to just walk in and get help. No knocking needed!

Students are encouraged to personalize their iPad cases! It makes it easier for students to identify their iPads if the case is decorated with stickers, paint markers etc. However, please do not vandalize the case by pulling or peeling off parts. All iPads come with a glass screen protector installed on them. Students should NEVER remove the glass screen protector. We will replace the screen protectors for you!

RESERVATIONS FOR IPAD SUPPORT

Students are also able to make reservations for help by clicking on the "HELP" button on their iPad. A reservation is not required, but we may be able to provide better support if we know the issues you are dealing with ahead of time.

Am I able to borrow an iPad for the day?
The aide at the iPad Tech Support Desk will provide an iPad to use for the day, as needed.
