  1. Wellness tip- Wait till 8th grade or High School for phones if at all possible. If your child needs to get in touch with you or other caregivers consider a Bark watch/Phone, or flip phone with no social media. We find that most social issues that arise in the lives of teens are exacerbated with Social Media.

  2. Phones, smart watches and personal devices will be banned in schools starting September 2025. This is a state-level mandate.

  3. Utilize parent controls if you are allowing your child to have a smartphone and social media.

  1. Use Jamf Parent to control your student's iPad while out of school

  2. No device or school iPad should not be left in a child's room at night. Students need rest, especially during this adolescent phase.  All technology should be kept out of a Student's room and ideally put in the parent's bedroom overnight.

  3. We recommend charging the iPad overnight while it is in the student's backpack (out of the student's bedroom).

  4. Buy iPad insurance YEARLY.  The policy is inexpensive, a 30 dollar investment up front can save you $500.00 in replacement fees if your student has an accident with their iPad.
