A Strong Start
A strong start in any research project begins with organization. Think of NoodleTools as your personal research assistant. NoodleTools has two main functions - source citation and note-taking. This section focuses on source citation. For information on taking notes, visit the Note-taking: Collecting, Organizing and Synthesizing page of this toolkit.
What is it?
NoodleTools is an online research management platform that helps you create formatted citations and organize your sources in one place. As you research your progressive, you'll add each source (websites, books, databases, videos) to your NoodleTools project, and it will automatically format your Works Cited page.
Why use it?
NoodleTools eliminates the stress of formatting citations correctly - it does the work for you! It keeps all your sources in one organized place so you won't lose track of where you found information. You can access your project from any device (school, home, library), and your teachers can view your progress and provide feedback. It's designed specifically for student researchers.
Keep in mind
NoodleTools requires accurate input - if you enter information incorrectly (like forgetting the author or publication date), your citation won't be complete. It works best when you take time to fill in all the fields carefully.
