Welcome to Fifth Grade, 5E Students!

Summer vacation gives students and teachers an opportunity to relax, have fun, and recharge for the new school year ahead. I've been enjoying the outdoors, meeting up with family and friends, playing golf, traveling, and crossing home projects off my To Do list. I hope you have been enjoying your summer vacation, too! 

Our first day of school will be on Tuesday, September 1st. If your parents haven't ordered supplies through the PTA, please take a look at the HE Fifth Grade 2026-2027 Supply List and bring in a few supplies each day of our first week of school. No need to carry everything to school on the first day!

In addition to the supplies on the list, all fifth grade students are being asked to bring in headphones that are compatible with their school-assigned Chromebook. Please be aware that the headphones you bring will be kept in your individual cart for personal use. On-ear headphones are recommended and here is a link to an example. Headphones are due in class by Tuesday, September 8th. It is also a great idea to get a USB-C charger to keep at home for your Chromebook, though this is completely optional.

I am looking forward to meeting you, getting to know you, and growing together as a classroom community. Our first day of school will be a full day of school, so please bring in a morning snack and your lunch. Until then, enjoy the rest of your summer vacation!
