The PTC will be hosting a panel including Chris Moleski, Scarsdale detective, and Laura Forbes, Bureau Chief & internet safety coordinator with the Westchester DA office, to help parents better understand how online sexual offenses including sexual extortion, harassment, and forgery can impact students in our immediate community.
Leave with knowledge about issues that currently exist in our children’s digital world and how to better navigate parenting in these complicated times.

Viewing of "Screenagers" with Panel Discussion in December for K-12 Families
Join fellow parents in a viewing of the film, Screenagers. Screenagers is an award-winning documentary that dives into the challenges families face in this digital age. Through poignant and unexpectedly humorous stories, paired with surprising insights from leading experts, Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age reveals how screens are shaping kids’ development. Most importantly, it offers actionable solutions to help adults empower kids to navigate the digital age and find balance. The screening will be followed by parent discussions and sharing of ways to support our community.

Pause and Play: Empowering Family Device Management
This introductory session offers parents practical strategies for managing device time at home. Join fellow parents in the community to share and learn how to help children develop better self-regulation, set effective boundaries, and create a family plan that works for everyone.
Participants will discover ways to promote healthy device use, including setting realistic expectations and utilizing built-in tools, allowing them to collaborate with their child. The session will also highlight future workshops in the Family Forum that cover related topics, enabling parents to explore these areas more deeply if they choose.
