Frequent communication between parents and students is an important component to success at the middle school. As students are acclimating to sixth grade, it is important that they have continuous support from both parents and teachers.The checklist below contains topics of conversation that should be considered on a nightly basis. Please note: It is recommended that parents and students follow this checklist closely, especially for the first month of school. Research suggests that it takes 21 days to form a new habit.
Has the calendar in Schoology been checked for nightly and long-term assignments?
Has all of your nightly homework been completed?
What is the status of any long-term assignments or projects you may have?
What are your office hours (extra help) possibilities for the following day or week?
Are all the supplies needed for school packed in your bag and ready to go?
Is your iPad fully charged and packed in your bag?
