¡Bienvenidos a la clase de español! Our main goal is to get you to understand and speak a new language. So don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Everyone does!
As a student, you will be expected to:
- Memorize vocabulary terms presented in each section.
- Master grammar concepts.
- Speak in the target language during immersion.
- Maintain behavioral class expectations.

- A pencil or pen
- Binder for handouts & notes
Grading Policy
Grading Policy
Students must pass all standards with a C or higher in order to pass the class.
90-100 A
80-89 B
70-79 C
69-60 D
59 and below - Incomplete/F
In order to take a standard, you must pass the corresponding vocab and grammar quizzes.

Semester A:

- – Describing people and family relationships
5.2 – Talking about where you and others live, talking about responsibilities.
Re-take Policy
- After each unit test, you will have the opportunity to take a re-take. You will have one week following the unit test to take this re-take to show you are proficient. Additionally, you will have to complete a practice assignment before taking the re-take.
- One more test re-take opportunity will be given during midterms/finals to show you are proficient.
Proficiencies:
You must show you are proficient on each unit exam, by receiving 70 percent or better to receive credit for this course.
