The Collaborative for Academic, Social, Emotional Learning (CASEL) is a trusted source for knowledge about high-quality, evidence-based social and emotional learning (SEL). To get started on infusing SEL into your class every day, check out CASEL's Three Signature Practices playbook. It includes an introduction of the three signature practices: Inclusion Activities, Engaging Strategies and Brain Breaks, and Optimistic Closure, as well as examples of each.
In 2020-21 we put together a resource for teachers of weekly activity ideas...one activity to try per class, and one resource for the week related to SEL/community building. These might be outdated in the number of periods, that we aren't online anymore, as well as for a few other reasons, but it does mix up activities and give you one activity you can try per week in case you just want that decided for you! Here are the week-to-week ideas for each grade span:
