According to Oxford dictionary, mindfulness is, "a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique."

The blue sky is a perfect metaphor for the mind. And no matter what happens in life, it's always worth looking for it.
Please watch this 1 minute meditation video with family members, friends, or alone. After watching this video, draw a picture of your favorite location outside. Don't forget to draw your blue sky! During this time be mindful of how you feel in the moment. Is there a storm on the way? Or are there a few clouds in your sky?
Why not, practice mindfulness through a drawing activity. You can do this alone or invite family to participate too!
Can you mindfully guess objects? This activity includes help from family members.
Material: Box, bandana (anything that can be a blindfold), fun objects (ball, fruit, keys, rock coin, jello, etc.)
Directions: Put objects in a small box and have family members feel the object in the box and guess the object. Play 5 rounds of the game and keep tally to see who can guess the most correct objects.
Do you think you can mindfully pay attention and get the right message to the last person? Or will you end up with a different message?
How to play: Grab a few players. Find a space to sit next to each other in a single file line. The person at the beginning of the line whispers a message into the ear of the person sitting next to them. Then that person repeats that message and so on and so forth until you reach the end of the line. The last person will reveal the final message out loud.
