Created by SBHS 9th Grader Harshita Mongia, Med-Heroes has launched a Go Fund Me page to support essential workers. All proceeds will go to South Brunswick local restaurants to purchase meals to be served atlocal hospitals and nursing homes.
Created by SBHS 10th Grader Aleena Zirvi, Share Some Joyhas launched a Go Fund Me page to assemble and deliver care packages filled with educational materials and activities to help the children of South Brunswick.
SBHS 10th grader Jinay Shah has been working with DKMS, a nonprofit organization that connects bone marrow donors with blood cancer patients. He created a virtual bone marrow registration drive for SBHS Seniors and the South Brunswick community. The foundation is looking for virtual volunteers to build the national donor network. (Students must be 18 years or older to participate.)
HS Navigator is a one-stop search tool for finding pre-college summer programs, internships, and volunteer opportunities for high school students. HS Navigator will help you to filter your search experience based on your diverse subject interest, location, preferred university, program duration, budget and more. The site was developed by Mehar Johal, a current 11th grade student at SBHS.
Project Communicate: Connect Doctors and Patients
Created by SBHS 9th grader Preisha Agarwal, Project Communicate has launched a Go Fund Me page to collect money to purchase iPads and iPhones for doctors, healthcare workers and hospitalized patients to use during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Virtual Fund Drive for the Community FoodBank of NJ
SBHS 9th graders Shruti Mukkamala and Nikita Majithias have created a virtual fundraiser to support the Community FoodBank of NJ. All donations will be sent to the FoodBank to feed the hungry families of New Jersey.
