There are lots of ways to use Flashcard Factory in the classroom.
Here are 6 ideas to get you thinking!
1. Traditional Practice of Vocabulary, word & definitions, within any content area, science, ss, spanish, etc.
2. Descriptive Writing
Students can practice writing descriptively, using key terms from the list in a creative way.
3. Character Traits
Give students a character trait. Challenge them to choose a character from the book that exhibits this trait, then draw & write evidence from the story to back up their ideas.
4. Reverse the above example by giving students the list of characters and let them choose a trait that best describes the characters. Students draw & write evidence from the story to back up their ideas.
5. Math in the Real World
Given a set of math terms, students can create stories that depict math that they see in their environment.
Note: You can include numbers as vocab terms, or more than one word.
6. Fill in the Blanks
Give a sentence prompt with blank spaces.
Encourage students to be creative when 'filling in the blanks."
Most creative answer wins!
Focus can be on verbs, nouns, adjectives, rhyming words, application of content words, etc.
