Tree-Plenish Event in 2022!
A local tree planting event to off-set our school's paper usage.
The SBRSD Sustainability Coalition is partnering with local businesses and individuals to sponsor the planting of 240 native saplings on our campus and throughout our community on on May 7th, 2022! This number directly off-sets the amount of paper that our school used in the 2018-2019 school year. Our organization is interested in planting saplings to increase the number of native trees, amount of sequestered carbon, and environmental sustainability in our community.
Community members and businesses can engage in several ways!
Become a sponsor and subsidize the cost of saplings, so community members can receive them at no cost. (See the sponsor levels in the graphic below.) A total of $1200 in donations and sponsorships will cover the entire cost of our 240 sapling goal!
Purchase one or more saplings at $5.00 each to plant in your own yard to help us reach our goal of 240 saplings.
Volunteer on the day of the event to help plant and/or deliver the saplings around our community!
Request a sapling for your property, to be planted at no cost!
