Vote
March 14, 2023
The Saddle Brook School District will hold a bond referendum on Tuesday, March 14, 2023. Voter approval would provide necessary funding for critical infrastructure repairs and safety/security upgrades.
Voting is simple: residents who are registered in Saddle Brook can either vote in person or by mail.
Am I registered to vote? How do I register to vote?
Regardless of how you want to cast your ballot, an up-to-date voter registration is required to vote in the Saddle Brook School District bond referendum. Voters must be registered by Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2023, to be eligible to vote.
Check your voter registration status here.
If you are not registered, register online by completing a voter registration form on the NJ Voter Information Portal.
Printed registration forms are also accepted. Print and mail a paper registration form to Bergen County Superintendent of Elections, One Bergen County Plz RM 380, Hackensack, NJ 07601-9832.
How and where can I vote in-person?
In-person voting will be available to registered voters on Tuesday, March 14 from 1 - 8 pm. Registered voters can go to their usual polling location.
If you arrive at the polls and are told that your ballot was already mailed to you, simply ask for a provisional ballot. This means your ballot will be counted once all mailed ballots are double-checked and processed.
How can I vote by mail?
Check your Vote By Mail status by contacting the Office of the Bergen County Clerk at 201-336-7020 or email countyclerk@co.bergen.nj.us. Any New Jerseyans who voted by mail in a prior election may have opted to automatically receive a Vote by Mail ballot for future elections, but double checking with the County Clerk is highly recommended.
Sign up using the Vote By Mail Ballot Application. Print and mail (or hand deliver) the completed application to the County Clerk’s office. To receive a ballot in the mail, your application must arrive at the County Clerk’s office no later than Tuesday, March 7.
Mail your ballot before the day of the vote! All mailed ballots must be postmarked by Tuesday, March 14, 2023. You can also hand deliver your mail-in ballot by dropping it off before voting day at any of the specified ballot boxes listed on this webpage.
Track your ballot using the state’s voter portal. Setting up an account is free, and while this is an optional step, it is the only way to reliably monitor the status of your ballot online.
