6th Grade Enrichment Science

Sixth grade Enrichment Science at BMS is a course designed to enhance and build each student’s scientific background as well as to encourage scientific inquiry. Students will utilize the following strategies: curriculum reading, interactive technology, digital lessons, hands-on labs, research, videos, podcasts, and more. 

At BMS we use a phenomenon based curriculum and lots of hands-on lab style learning. We study several different units of Science content in this quarter long class:

• Scientific Method

• Water

• Water pollution

• Dehydration

• Changes caused by water

• Ecology

• Symbiosis

• Animal Adaptations

Materials Needed:

• Same as in regular Science class

*Having a charged Chromebook every day is very important!

6th Grade Late Work Policy

The highest grade a student may earn on a late daily work assignment is 70%. Assignments over 2 weeks late are not accepted and will be entered into the gradebook as a zero.
