Hello! My name is Mikaela Petersen. 

I love being a Bearcat! I was born and raised here in Scottsbluff and attended Scottsbluff Public Schools until I graduated from SHS in 2017. I decided to pursue my passion for students and biological sciences and graduated with my education degree in 2022! This is my fifth year teaching and I am more than excited to be spending it here at SHS.

I have been married to my husband, Austin (also an SHS graduate), for seven years. We have a 1 year old son named Auggie. We love volunteering, playing music, spending time with family, and spoiling our many nieces and nephews together.
