American Literature

Class Description

This one-semester course focuses on the characters and themes of classical novels, short stories, and plays with regards to contemporary life. Students will read The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, The Great Gatsby, and multiple excerpts and short stories.  The course will also include writing activities to prepare students both for the ACT writing exam and future writing needs.
