Class Description
CHOICES uses analysis and evaluation of novels, speeches, short stories and nonfiction essays as the foundation of the course. Emphasis is placed on Gardner’s 8 multiple intelligences and learning in “out of the box” experiences. CHOICES students will read multiple texts to shape their understanding of the genre and themselves:Bleachers by John Grisham, The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch, Tree Roper: An Eye Above by (SHS board member) Robert Polk, and the National Endowment of the Arts-- Poetry Out Loud.
