Class Description
In EL English 1 and EL English 3, students will use the SummitK12 and iLit ELL programs to strengthen listening, speaking, and reading skills and build confidence as readers. Students will participate in whole-group instruction, develop their writing skills, read independently, and expand their vocabulary. These learning experiences will help students improve their reading comprehension and become more successful, independent learners. This course is designed to further develop and support students' vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension skills. Students will learn strategies for organizing their writing in clearly structured responses.
