We understand that everyone's set-up at home will not be the same for online engagement with your studies. The below is a shortlist of the key digital tools and platforms that will be used most on the BA (Hons) Commercial Music programme during academic year 2020/21.
Each module has its own Moodle site and you must engage with the materials set. Lecturers can track your engagement through integrated digital tools, and set meaningful tasks to supporting your learning. You will see these modules listed from 13th Sept 2021. You must enrol first before access will be achieved. Quick access is via: https://uws.aula.education
Zoom may be used to facilitate online class workshops, one-to-one supervision meetings and can be useful for small-group working on class tasks. There are useful video tutorials to get you started as well as a downloads of the free software for desktop and mobile.
For those engaging in "live" performance, especially 1st Year students, the online approach this year will be via Band Lab. You can download the free software from the Band Lab website and view the user guides. Stuart Kidd can also supply further information. Contact stuart.kidd@uws.ac.uk
It is vital you set up your student email account to ensure you are receiving important University updates and indeed module-based information on your Programme. Please follow the guides on the UWS IT webpage to set up your student email. Please watch the video guide:
