Department Overview
AVID (Advancement via Individual Determination) is a national college preparatory program that prepares students for "college readiness and success". AVID was implemented at San Gorgonio High School in 2002 and still strives today with nearly 100% 4-year college admission of AVID students.

With 32+ years in education, Dr. Adams is veteran of the education system as a middle & high school English and AVID elective teacher, AVID coordinator, SBTA representative, administrative consultant, and adjunct college professor at the University of Redlands.

Mrs. Corinne Sandoval-Tran
Mrs. Tran has 25+ years of teaching experience in both AVID & English content as well as being a former AVID tutor during her undergraduate studies at UC Riverside. She is also a graduate of San Gorgonio High School.
