SSC
(School Site Council)
- What are these committees?
ELAC is a committee for parents or other community members who want to advocate for English Learners. Each California public school with 21 or more English learners must form an English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC).
School Site Council (SSC) is group of teachers, parents, administrators, and interested community members who work together to develop and monitor a school's improvement plan. It is a legally required decision-making body for any school receiving federal funds.
- Why should I get involved?
Both of these committees make decisions for the school site! They help determine how the school will spend funds, what programs the school uses, and how we can best support our students! It takes a village to run a successful school. We need your input!
- How do I join?
Visit the school office to sign-in and join meetings!
