ABOUT ME

My name is Javier Bravo and I am a STEM educator and instructional technology coach for San Bernardino City Unified School District. I am pursuing my master’s degree in Instructional Technology at California State University, San Bernardino as a means to broaden my understanding of technology and its role within educational settings. My goals focus on developing my capacity to adhere to 21st century technology instructional practices and to refine my aptitudes in order to assist public educational institutions fully integrate technology into classroom settings.

My graduate work at CSUSB has allowed me to solidify my understanding of instructional technology. I have learned about the inceptions of the field and its evolution throughout much of the 20th century. Additionally, my work in the program has highlighted the research that has been conducted with regard to instructional technology and its pedagogical applications. Moreover, this program has manifested the importance of developing my own sound, academic research in order for me to become a prime contributor in the field. The learning program here at CSUSB is all-encompassing and covers the four main categories of: foundation, design, research, and technology. Through the application of the aforementioned elements, I have been exposed to key content areas that will allow me to grow as an educator and validate my learning by disseminating the knowledge I have gained within the realm of public education.
