GED Preparation Program 

WHAT IS THE GED PREPARATION PROGRAM?

The GED® Test is used in California to award high school equivalency certificates. Students are placed in either Pre-GED Test Preparation or GED Test preparation classes according to the Assessment scores. Pre-GED Test Preparation classes focus on Language Arts and Math. Inland Career Education Center’s GED Test Preparation classes focus on preparing students for the four parts of the GED Test: Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science. 

WHAT IS THE COST?

Although our program is FREE, the Official GED Test does have a cost, $41 per section, 4 sections in total (Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science)


WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO ENTER THE PROGRAM?

All students wanting to participate in the GED Preparation Program must take a CASAS Assessment.  Based on their assessment scores, student will be placed either in GED Test Preparation classes or Pre-GED Test preparation Classes.

REQUIREMENTS FOR PROGRAM COMPLETION

The GED Exam requires the successful passage of its 4 sections:  Mathematical Reasoning, Reasoning Through Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science.  A minimum score of 145 per subject must be attained.
