Dr. Bonnie D. Garcia has served in education for the past 17 years. She has worked as an instructional aide, alternative education teacher, and education specialist. Dr. Garcia has worked with students ranging from the mild to more severe disabilities. Currently, she works as a program specialist with Desert Mountain SELPA, supporting districts, schools, teachers, parents and students around special education programs and practices. More specifically, providing support around the areas of dyslexia, instructional technology, and multi-tiered instruction to ensure equity and access for all.
Sonal Patel is the Digital Learning Innovation Coordinator at San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools. She supports teachers, coaches, and administrators in active professional learning grounded in solid pedagogy regarding topics that include Distance Learning, UDL, blended and personalized learning, digital citizenship, Google/Microsoft for Education, and Computer Science integration - all of which is centered around closing the digital equity gaps. Sonal is also the Leading Edge Online Blended Teacher Instructor.
Formerly, Sonal has been an instructional coach and taught in grades K-6 both in California and the U.K. She was also the former Inland Empire CUE President. She is a Google Certified educator, trainer and innovator and a member of Our Voice Alliance, an organization dedicated to amplifying underrepresented voices.
