Teacher and Principal Evaluation System

All teachers and principals will continue to be evaluated pursuant to the district’s approved APPR plan. School leaders will continue to attend annually required Lead Evaluator training.

Certification, Incidental Teaching and Substitute Teaching

Sayville Schools will continue to hire appropriately certificated staff members to fill positions where specific certifications are required. Should the need arise to have a teacher work out of their certification area, a waiver for incidental teaching will be completed and submitted to NYSED for approval.
