Who We Are

Christian Outreach is a class that facilitates the introduction of ministries that are readily available to the Savio community. In addition the students in the class develop a conversation about faith, social justice, and practical application of living out the word of God in our modern society based on the Corporal Works of Mercy. Through readings and journaling they create a small community based on the principles of faith, hope, and love. The class provides a space for students to discover and ponder their gifts and how they can be used to manifest the Kingdom of God in our daily lives.

The Team

Christopher Abadie

Chris is a senior and is in charge of the website with Cosimo and Highway Clean-ups with Thomas. His favorite bible verse is “Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:6-7). In his free time, Chris enjoys weightlifting and energy drinks.

Alexander Boecking

Alexander is a senior and is in charge of No Shave November with Nolan and Blood Drives with Meagan. His favorite bible verse is “What does the Lord require of you but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8). In his free time, Alexander enjoys playing sports, the guitar, and thugging out.

Caitlin Colby

Caitlin is a junior and is in charge of CRS Club with Maddy and Middle School Outreach with Joy. Her favorite bible verse is “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3: 5-6). In her free time, Caitlin enjoys hanging out with her friends.

Cosimo De Santis

Cosimo is a senior and is in charge of maintaining the website with Chris. His favorite bible verse about service is "Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give" (Matthew 10:8). In his free time, Cosimo enjoys sports and riding his motorcycle.

Mary Kate Edmonds

Mary Kate is a senior and is in charge of Imago Christi Day. Her favorite bible verse is "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." (Joshua 1:9). In her free time, Mary Kate enjoys playing volleyball, softball, reading, and watching Grey's Anatomy.

Logan Gonzalez

Logan is a senior and is in charge of the Run for Water with Taylor and the Registration Campaign with Lillian. His favorite bible verse is “Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth” (1 John 3:18). In his free time, Logan enjoys playing soccer and playing the piano.

Lillian Herchek

Lillian is a Senior and is in charge of the Voter Registration Campaign with Logan. Her favorite bible verse about service is “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying: Whom shall I send? Who will go for Us? And I said: Here am I. Send me!” (Isaiah 6:8). In her free time, Lillian enjoys rowing on Lake Austin, spending time with friends and family, and reading.

Thomas Kloke

Thomas is a senior and is in charge of Adopt a Highway Clean-Ups with Chris, CRS Rice Bowl with Maddy, and Feed My People with Brody. His favorite bible verse is "Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work. Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart" (2 Timothy 2:21-22). In his free time, Thomas likes weightlifting and eating food.

Mia Marroquin

Maddy Meyer

Maddy is a junior and is in charge of the CRS Club for Christian Outreach. Her favorite bible verse is "But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord" (Joshua 24:15). In her free time, Maddy enjoys reading, going outside, and spending time with her family!

Saura Mistry

Saura is a senior and in charge of service trips with Mia. Her favorite Bible verse is “You are precious and honored in my sight, and I love you" (Isaiah 43:4). In her free time, Saura loves hanging out with her friends.

Taylor Randleman

Taylor is a senior and in charge of Run for Water with Logan and Imago Christi Day with Mary Kate. Her favorite Bible verse is "Everything should be done in love" (1 Corinthians 16:14). In her free time, Taylor enjoys painting and hanging out with friends.

Nolan Ray

Nolan is a senior and in charge of No Shave November with Alexander. His favorite bible verse is "Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." (Psalm 23:4). In his free time he enjoys hanging out with friends and watching sports.

Meagan Wiley

Meagan is a senior and in charge of Blood Drives with Alexander. Her favorite bible verse is "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters" (Colossians 3:23). In her free time she likes to play sports and hang out with her friends.

Brody Wilson

Brody is a junior and in charge of Feed my People with Thomas. His favorite bible verse is "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13). Brody enjoys fishing in his free time.

Joy Yan

Joy is a Senior in charge of Middle School Outreach with Caitlin. His favorite bible verse is "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy” (Proverbs 31:8-9). In his free time, Joy enjoys running, playing soccer, and playing guitar.
