He completed his bachelor and master degree in Physics, from Pachaiyappa's College, Chennai, University of Madras. He has completed his Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) from University of Madras, Chennai. He obtained his Ph.D., in 2012 from Centre for Nanoscience and Technology, Anna University, Chennai. He worked as JRF in the project funded by IUAC, New Delhi. He was awarded IJGS fellowship to carry out research at National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Japan. He was awarded as JRF under UGC-meritorious students scheme. He has 5.6 years of Postdoctoral experience in Taiwan and 2 years of Teaching experience in Taiwan Universities.
He has participated and presented his scientific research findings in various national and international conferences in India and abroad. He attended several training programs in India. He has published 35 International journal publications, published book chapters, and published a Japanese patent. He is an active reviewer in reputed international journals like Elsevier, Springer, American scientific publishing and so on.
His research interests is on Semiconductor nanostructures and functional materials for Energy storage devices. He is a Life member of MRSI, LSI, IPA, MRST, RIOS, InRes.

Dr. N. Kanagathara, M.Sc., M.Phil., Ph.D.

Dr. N. Kanagathara received her B.Sc through Government College for Women, (Bharathidasan university), Kumbakonam, Tanjore District in 1995. She got her M.Sc in Physics, in 1997 and completed her M.Phil., at Seethalakshmi Ramaswami College, Trichy (Bharathidasan university) in 2001. She received Ph.D from Presidency College, Triplicane (University of Madras) Chennai in 2014. Her research work is mainly focused on synthesis and characterization of organic and inorganic materials (single crystals). She shows her interest to work on quantum chemical computational analysis (theoretically).
She has 24 years of teaching experience and 10 years of research experience in the field of Crystallography, Crystal Growth, Density Functional Theory, Spectroscopy and Materials Science She has published more than 70 research papers in reputed International Journals with high Impact factor with an h-index 10. She has presented her findings in various National/International conferences. She has delivered many invited lectures at national and international level. As an appreciation of her commendable work, she has received several research awards. She also convened many national conferences, workshops and Hands-on-training program in SSE, SIMATS.
Presently, she is a recognized supervisor of Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences, Chennai. Five scholars has completed Ph.D and 5 scholars are pursuing their research under her guidance. She is also an active reviewer for many international reputed journals like Journal of Molecular Structure, Spectrochimica Acta, and Journal of Materials Science etc. She is an active member in Indian Association for Crystal Growth, Indian Spectro Physics Association and Indian Society for Technical Education.
