She has 24 years of teaching experience. Her areas of research interest are Queuing Theory, Combinatorics and Data Analysis. She is presently guiding two research scholars in the field of Automata & Theoretical Computer Science. Being a university rank holder, she has published original articles in highly reputed international Scopus indexed journals. She coordinates the entire S&H for accreditation process. She frequently conducts workshops/FDPs in mathematics and its applications in data science. She has also cleared the State Level Eligibility for Lectureship conducted by government of Tamil Nadu in 2016. Her involvement and dedication has been an inspiration among the the students & faculty members. She also bags Best Researcher Award from Pondicherry Centre for Science & Educational Trust. She is presently working as Associate Professor in Department of Pure & Applied Mathematics. The part time scholars Mrs. Gayathri Lakshmi & Mrs. Ruth Isabels have obtained their doctoral degree under Dr. Arul Freeda's guidance in November 2023 & November 2024. At present she is guiding two scholars.
He received his UG degree from Sindhi College of Arts & Science affiliated to University of Madras and PG degree from IIT Madras and M. Phil from Alagappa University. He has completed his doctoral degree from VIT Chennai on Stochastic Processes. He has also secured the State Level Eligibility Test. He has earned 20 years of teaching experience and presently working as the Head & Senior Assistant Professor in Department of Pure & Applied Mathematics, SIMATS-Engineering, SIMATS. He has published two SCI articles in Q1 Journals with an impact factor of 6. Apart from this, he has published five Scopus indexed articles in highly commendable double peer reviewed international journals and five articles in reputed international journals mentioned by UGC Care. He has published four patents which was granted by Intellectual Properties, India, Ministry of Commerce & Industry. He was the only person who has got a GAT score from All Mathematics Teachers Association Pvt. Ltd. at his higher secondary level in Kanchipuram district. His research interests are Retrial Queues, Stochastic Processes, Analysis, Bidirectional Associative Memories, Mathematical Analysis and Abstract Algebra. He has obtained ten national awards. His hobbies are reading books in diverse areas of philosophy, metaphysics and educational psychology. His innovative way of teaching has admired many inquisitive young minds. He chairs & presides many events & motivational talks in various institutions. He is presently guiding two part time scholars.
Dr. K. Sudar Mozhi is a distinguished Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) at SIMATS Engineering, specializing in Fluid Dynamics, Heat and Mass Transfer, and Maxwell Fluid Flow. She holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics, making her the first full-time doctoral degree awardee in the Science and Humanities division. Dr. K. Sudar Mozhi’s academic qualifications include a B.Sc., M.Sc., M.Phil., and a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA), all of which have laid a solid foundation for her successful career. With over 13 years of teaching and research experience, she has earned a reputation for her expertise and commitment to advancing her field. During the three years of her Ph.D. program, Dr. K. Sudar Mozhi authored 25 Scopus-indexed publications, including 21 in the Web of Science and 16 in Q1 journals, with an impressive overall impact factor of 87.2. Of these publications, 20 were authored as the first author, highlighting her leadership in her research endeavors. In addition to her research, Dr. K. Sudar Mozhi has presented at over 16 national and international conferences and attended more than 100 seminars and workshops, continually enhancing her knowledge and expertise. Her commitment to continuous learning is further demonstrated by her completion of 5 NPTEL courses in the field of Fluid Dynamics, underscoring her dedication to academic excellence. She is currently guiding 4 research scholars.
Dr. Sujipriya A is an experienced academician with over 11 years of teaching expertise in mathematics, specialising in queueing theory, stochastic processes. She is currently working as an Assistant Professor (S.G.) in the Department of Pure and Applied Mathematics. She is known for her student-centric teaching approach and commitment to academic excellence. Her research primarily focuses on queuing models, system performance analysis, and probabilistic frameworks that address real-time applications. She has contributed to the field through 7 peer-reviewed journal publications, several conference presentations, and active involvement in academic development initiatives.
Beyond research, she has played key roles in organising academic programmes, including workshops, FDPs, and webinars, and has participated in 30 professional development programmes. She also holds 1 patent, has delivered invited lectures, and has completed 5 multiple MOOC certifications to enhance her academic breadth. Through her clear pedagogical approach to teaching, practical approach to mathematics, and active involvement in research. She is passionate about creating a supportive learning space and making a meaningful impact within the academic community.
Dr. Hemalatha K is currently working as an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) in the Department of Pure & Applied Mathematics, SIMATS Engineering. She completed her B.Sc. in Mathematics in 2018 at Holy Cross College (Autonomous), affiliated with Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India. She obtained her M.Sc. in Mathematics in 2020 from the Department of Mathematics, Bishop Heber College (Autonomous), also affiliated with Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli. She earned her Doctoral degree from the SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur, Chennai, in 2024, specializing in Theoretical Seismology and Elastic Wave Propagation. Dr. Hemalatha has published 19 international research papers, including 2 papers in Q1 journals, with a cumulative impact factor of 27.4. She has presented her work at 6 international conferences and has participated in more than 70 seminars and workshops.
He completed his B.Sc. at St. Joseph’s College of Arts and Science, Cuddalore, affiliated with Thiruvalluvar University, followed by an M.Sc. from Shanmuga Industries Arts and Science College, Thiruvannamalai, also under Thiruvalluvar University. He earned his Doctoral degree from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, in 2025. He has published eight research papers in reputed, peer-reviewed, Scopus-indexed international journals and has presented two papers at international conferences. With five years of research experience, his areas of interest include Operations Research, Probability theory and statistics. His dedication and sincerity are highly valued by both the faculty members and the students of the department.
