CONFIDENTIALITY
Conversations between students and counselors are treated with the utmost confidentiality. However, it is important to note that there are exceptions to this confidentiality. If a counselor suspects that a student is experiencing abuse, neglect, or poses a danger to themselves or others, they have a legal, ethical, and professional obligation to report these concerns to the parents or the appropriate authorities. This is done to ensure the safety and well-being of the student and those around them.
