Steps to Checkout eBooks
Sora is the eBook platform for the entire district. You can check out eBooks and audiobooks that we may not have at the library and read them on any electronic device. There is even an app for your phone! If you would like any help checking out eBooks, come and visit us in the library or review the instructions on this page.

How to Check Out and Check In using Sora
This video shows you how to log in using your sausdlearns account, how to borrow a book, and how to return it when you're done.
Step-by-Step: How to Check Out Books in Sora
Click the logo above. A new window will open.
2. Click the green button that says "Sign In using Santa Ana Unified School District"
3. Sign in using your Google log in.
4. Search for the book, subject, or genre that you would like to read in the search bar at the top of the page.
5. This is what your search results will look like. Narrow down the choices by clicking "Preferences."
6. If you only want to see books that are available to check out right now, change the "available books" setting. You can also change the audience to "young adult" or "general adult" and the format to look at eBooks or audiobooks only.
7. When you click on a book to learn more about it, this is what you will see. To check it out, click the "Borrow" button underneath the cover image on the right.
8. When you would like to access the book, click the "shelf" button at the bottom of the page. To see what options you have with the book, including returning or renewing the book, click "options."
9. When you are done, click "return." If you would like to keep the book, click "renew."
