What kinds of sitewide professional learning do coaches provide?
Supporting Site Priorities:
Coaches collaborate with site administrators and teachers to identify areas of instructional focus (via the SPSA) to guide collective improvement efforts.
Coaches create & facilate teacher-centered staff professional learning to support areas of instructional focus
Coaches facilitate PDSA's around shared problems of practice using Improvement Science processes & tools
Coaches provide 1:1 teacher support, classroom demonstration lessons, and co-planning & teaching when desired
Coaches provide teachers with opportunities to observe colleagues to experience high leverage instructional strategies in action.
Coaches support teachers in retrieving & analyzing relevant data to drive instructional decision-making.
Coaches support the implementation of districtwide instructional goals & initiatives
Coaches act as liaisons between site and district specialists to provide sites with access to varying supports
SPOC coaching schedules designate Thursdays as professional collaboration between sites if needed. Fridays, coaches work at a shared site on their own professional learning & collaboration as a team.
