Early College Credit Program
The Early College Credit Program (ECCP) allows Wisconsin public and private high school students in grade 9-12, to take one or more courses at the University of Wisconsin System, a tribally controlled college, or a private, nonprofit institution of higher education for college credit. Students may take classes that are beyond the scope and sequence offered at their high school. The program opens the door to greater learning opportunities for students who are considering a variety of careers, wishing to begin college early, or wanting to expand their coursework above what their high school is able to provide. Students are able to take classes during the Fall, Spring, and/or summer semesters; however, students are only allowed to accumulate 18 credits total. In addition, ECCP classes are included in a student's cumulative GPA.
Start College Now Program
Start College Now Program allows Wisconsin Public and private high school students in grade 11 and 12, to take one or more courses at a technical college for credit. The program opens the door to greater learning opportunities for students who are considering a technical career, wishing to begin their career training early, and/or preparing to enter the world of work after high school. Students are able to take classes during the Fall and/or Spring semesters and there is no state policy limiting the number of credits. Start College Now classes are included in a student's cumulative GPA.
