What can I do to support my child at home?
iReady Reading Pathway- Our iReady program produces an individualized learning pathway based upon diagnostic assessments given at school. Students may work on their pathways at home for additional practice. (It is recommended that the student not spend more than 45 minutes per week on their pathway.)
Independent Reading- The best way to become a better reader is to READ! Below is a link to Scholastic Book Wizard. You can enter the title and find the reading level or difficulty of the book. This may be helpful in choosing appropriate texts for your child to read on their own.
Trick word lists by grade level- Below are lists of trick words that are introduced at each grade level. These words are common words that often do not follow phonetic rules. These words are practiced repeatedly to be recognized by sight.
