Homework Policy

Assignments for each of my classes will be posted every day in the Google Classroom. If it is a paper assignment, it will still be posted with a due date and possible number of points. Students should mark the assignment done when it has been turned in. Often, there is time to begin assignments in class. Students may just need to finish anything not completed in class.

***In addition to these assignments, students should be reading for at least 15 minutes every day. They will be responsible for completing an Accelerated Reader book approximately every 6 weeks. I have some quick reads they can choose from in the classroom, or we can help them find suitable books in the school library or SORA app.

***Students should also be spending at least 1 hour per week on their reading path and assigned lessons in iReady. Some time will be spent at school, but time might be needed at home to complete the requirement. Each quarter, students will be responsible for completing a minimum of 10 lessons and completing a record of those lessons (see Google Classroom). This will count as a 20 point assignment (equal to a quiz grade). 

Graded iReady lessons cannot be made up late. All other assignments can be completed late for partial credit. Students will be given late work deadlines as we approach each five weeks. Please join my Google Classrooms so that I can email updates with missing assignments.
