Classroom Rules/Expectations

There are two rules in my classroom. Work hard, and Be nice. Students are expected to be kind and respectful, work hard, and do their best. No one should behave in a manner that interferes with their own learning or someone else's learning. Our goals are to work as independently as possible, but to help the students advocate for themselves, asking for help as needed and expressing their needs. We will work on managing their time and materials as well. 

Consequences for behavior that interferes with learning include: 

• a warning - an opportunity to change the behavior

• lunch detention

• completing a Think Sheet to bring home to be signed

• phone call or email home

• referral (consequences determined by administrator)
