Description
I will be grading your work based on a total points system. Your grade will be figured by taking the total number of points that could have possibly been earned and dividing that number by the total number of points you have earned. Points are assigned based on the length of time/effort needed to complete the assignment. In general, participation grades will be out of 10 points, projects will be between 30 and 100 points depending on the size.
HOMEWORK POLICY
I rarely give homework. If students are not doing their work in class then it becomes homework. Late work is accepted until the 5 week mark. A percentage will be deducted based on how late and circumstances surrounding the late work. Please e-mail me with questions or if something cannot be done on time.
What is expected of me in class? I expect all of my students to…
Be prepared for class everyday.
Participate in a meaningful way in class activities and discussions.
Work safely in the lab by following the safety guidelines and by using good common sense.
Make up missed work as soon as possible. If you miss class for any reason you are expected to make up the work covered in class as well as the homework.
Be responsible!
Give your best effort! Finish all classwork in the time given to avoid homework.
Show respect and kindness at all times.
