District Projects

Our club is part of the New England and Bermuda District of Key Club International. As a district, we support several charities and organizations, including the following. A large portion of our fundraising is contributed donated during our District Convention.

When Children of Peace International was founded in 1993, their primary objective was to support orphanages in Vietnam. Over time, COPI has expanded their work into many provinces of Vietnam as well as into other areas of support. Currently, in addition to supporting orphanages, COPI also supports education and medical care in many areas of Vietnam.

Camp Sunshine organizes recreational activities for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families, allowing families to relax and have fun, rebuild relationships with each other, and form new supportive relationships with people facing similar challenges. Camp Sunshine also provides medical and psychological support for these families 24 hours of the day. A stay at Camp Sunshine is free of charge for all families, thanks to the generous donations of time and money from many individuals and organizations, including the New England and Bermuda District of Key Clubs.

The Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Institute is dedicated to treating and preventing traumatic injuries which are the leading cause of death and disability for children, more than all other diseases combined. KPTI was the first pediatric trauma center in the world, and today it continues to serve a very important need in our community. The New England and Bermuda District of Key Club International is very proud to have contributed to the success of the Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Institute, a tax-exempt, non-profit organization, through fundraising and organizing community safety programs.
