My top priority is to provide your child with a meaningful, engaging, and successful second grade year. Second grade is a year of significant growth, and the shift in pace from first to second grade is quite large. I move quickly to prepare students for the demands of third grade, where strong foundational skills are essential.
Because of this, daily attendance is incredibly important. Each lesson builds on the last, and even short absences can make it difficult for students to keep up. Being present each day helps your child stay confident, connected, and ready to succeed.
However, if your child is ill, I completely understand and will always support them in catching up when they return.
I believe a successful school year starts with open lines of communication, so please reach out with any questions, comments, or concerns.
