My name is Mrs. Oglesby, and I’m thrilled to be your second grade teacher! This will be my 7th year teaching, and I’ve had the joy of working with students from Pre-K through second grade. However, second grade has been my favorite grade to teach so far. 

I have a degree in psychology, and I believe that kids learn best when they feel safe, supported, and valued. In our classroom, we work together to build a caring community where everyone feels comfortable taking educational risks, making mistakes, and growing through those mistakes. There will not be any learning without mistakes. My goal is to help each of your children build confidence and discover a love for learning.

When I’m not teaching, you can usually find me outside! I love the ocean, especially surfing and wakeboarding. One of my personal goals this year is to earn my scuba diving certification. I also love traveling to new places, reading a good book, and baking sweet treats in my spare time. 

This summer was extra special because I got married to the most amazing guy, Andrew! That’s why my name changed from Cadaret to Oglesby.

I can’t wait for the year ahead, I have no doubt it's going to be a great one!
