Class overview

Meditation: We will have one 10 minute refocus break as a whole group. This time will be used listening to soft music and focusing on our breathing.

Recess: Weather permitting, we will be going outside for recess every day. Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the day.

Absences: If your child will be absent from school, please call the office prior to 8:30 in the morning to let us know.

Change in Transportation: It is the school policy that the teacher must receive a note in advance if a child is to take a different route home (to a friend, go to a babysitter, etc.) If a change is made while your child is at school you may call the office and they will inform the teacher, the driver, and your child of the change. We will not accept a change without a note or call from you! Please pick up your child outside the building or in the office. Waiting in the hallway by the classroom is a distraction to the children at a very busy time of day and the hallway is very congested at dismissal time.

Items from Home: It is school policy that toys should not be brought to school unless requested by the teacher for a specific activity. It is also school policy that students keep all electronics off and in their backpack during school hours.
