The door decorating contest is between participating advisors who decorate their advisory teacher's door, Halloween-themed. Door decorating contests are meant to encourage the community of Concord High, to use their creativity and artistic uniqueness to make the best Halloween-themed door. The contest for decorating the best door is not just to have a contest but to bring the festive atmosphere up and for people to observe how extraordinary and fun students' peers are. Some advisories choose to make all the students in their class ghosts or create a spooky theme for their door. One of the best things about advisories using their imaginations to create a Halloween-themed door is how, by the end, each door tells a tale about how creative the students at Concord High are. Judges tend to like doors that are the most original spooky or funny which leaves room for creativity, imagination, and teamwork to make the best door.-Faith Parisi
This past Monday, the Crimson Review and the Writing Club had its third annual Spooky Story reading party! We decorated Mrs. O’Neil’s room for Halloween with garlands and lights. We also did quick writes, with a certain word we needed to use, to make our spooky stories. While reading them out they might have been more funny than scary, the intention was still there. As well as decorating and storytelling, people brought LOTS of spooky snacks. Some of which fell on the ground. (RIP to our cupcakes.)
