Fourth Grade Homework Policy

As a team, we value math and spelling practice, and we believe students should read every night. However, we also value and think it's important for students to have time to participate in extracurricular activities, have time with family, and enjoy being a kid! With all of this in mind, your child will not receive many structured homework tasks this year. However, we do expect students to be responsible for the following:

Knowing their math facts

Studying spelling words when they are assigned

Reading for about 20 minutes per night

If your child would like ideas for additional practice assignments, optional activities have been sent home in a homework folder. Students may or may not turn these assignments in; that is completely up to you.
