Google Classroom
Google Classroom is a free web service, developed by Google for schools, that aims to simplify creating, distributing, and grading assignments in a paperless way. The primary purpose of Google Classroom is to streamline the process of sharing files between teachers and students.
Google Accounts
The school uses a very specific username and password format to ensure the students have quick and easy access to their school-issued Google Accounts.
For the majority students's usernames are their year of graduation + the first initial of the first name + their last name + @sau74.org.
EXAMPLE: 27jdoe@sau74.org
***Please note there are a few exceptions to this, primarily when it comes to relatives with the same first initial and year of graduation. In this case the student may have their first and second initial of their first name or the first initial of both their first and middle name depending on the names of the student.
Passwords can be obtained from the student's teacher..
Google Chrome
Clever
Clever brings all K12 applications into one secure portal and provide single sign-on for everyone in the district.
We use Clever to quickly get students access to key applications and websites like iReady, BrainPop, Typing Club, etc..
The fastest way to access Clever is through your child's sau74.org Bookmarks tab, but unfortunately that is only accessible if they are signed into your google account through the Chrome Browser.
But don't worry, you can access Clever quickly and easily simply be going to clever.com an any browser and sign in with your child's school-issued Gmail.
iReady
i-Ready is an interactive online learning environment designed to assess students and provide individualized instruction based on each one's unique needs.
The district purchased a full subscription to iReady and it is used often to gather data and measure students's growth, especially in regards to your child's Math and Reading skills.
The primary way students access iReady is through Clever, the school's single sign-on portal.
Clever has been bookmarked for the entire district under the "sau74.org Bookmarks" tab found on the bookmark bar when signed in with the Chrome Browser. You can also get there by going to Clever.com.
